The Friends of the Lakeside Library

Our amazing team is truly the core of Lakeside Public Library. Their passion and commitment to helping our community creates an environment full of interesting and educational experiences for patrons to enjoy.

How can you help?

  • Join the Friends. Free membership.

  • Buy Books. Come to our book sales, and visit our section in the library.

  • Donate your gently used, clean books to the library.

  • Get involved. Make full use of this precious resource.

  • Volunteer in the Library. Got an hour or two a week? Anything helps.

Who are we?

The Friends of the Lakeside Library is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation made up of volunteers who believe a strong library is essential to a strong community.

To support this belief, the Friends promote: Reading, Literarcy, Library Use, and support for the library through special projects and programs.

What do we do?

Through donations and funds raised from book sales, grants, and special events, we financially suport library programs including:

  • Summer Reading Program for children

  • Purchasing items outside of library budget such as the copier, computers, fax, etc.
